In each of these diets, dieters eliminate or include a certain type of food in order to facilitate weight loss or gain as desired. The overall effect is usually losing weight quick, but certain nutrients are left out of the diet, making each of these examples unhealthy in the long term. You could eat enough to get the calories you need, but without the nutrients from the other food groups, you'll experience a more subtle form of starvation that can have terrible consequences for your overall health.

It takes time, effort and research to learn how to lose weight the correct way. It's a bit more difficult to learn how to do so safely and in a way that won't cause any health difficulties later on. It's recommended to seek medical advice before starting a weight loss plan, particularly one designed to promote rapid weight loss as the ultimate goal.
